Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is a 5v5 multiplayer shooter with emphasis on terrain destruction and teamwork. You choose between more than a dozen operators that have their own unique playstyle and skill, choose your weapon and attachments, and your gadgets. Matches can vary between hostage rescue, to bomb defusal, to straight up deathmatch with the last team standing wins.

I got into Siege probably when I slowed down on League because I wanted another competitive game to play. After I played for a while, I got my friends into it, and at one point we had more players than we could have on a team which was cool. We played ranked matches, normal matches, the pve gamemode which is just us going up against computer enemies, and had a lot of fun doing it.

Sadly, the more we played, especially ranked when we were serious, the more I found my situation being extremely aggravating. A combination of my internet connection along with the refresh rate on my monitor allowed it so enemy players could turn a corner, see me, and shoot me all while I didn't see them because on my end it hasn't registered that they turned the corner yet. This was angering enough that I just straight up stopped playing the game.

In general, the game is a lot of fun, and the competitive scene is also pretty serious which I like. I'm more of a serious gamer and take any game I play seriously to an extent, so a game like Siege was definitely up my ally. It's a shame the circumstances became what they did, but I might actually go back once I get a better monitor and a better internet because of the memories I have of playing that game with my friends.
