DOOM Eternal takes place in the far future, where "Hell" and "Heaven" are real, but not what you quite think. You play as the Doom Slayer, where after several other games of losing his family, pet rabbit, and being trapped in Hell for an unknown amount but more than likely extremely long time, has just become a machination of rage and destruction towards the demons.

The game's story is interesting for sure, and it's hard to forget the events that you play through, but it was mainly the gameplay that got people interested. When I call him a machination of rage and destruction, I'm not joking around since you literally rip demons apart with your bare hands. That and how the Doom Slayer never speaks but only grunts in different tones, the only time you hear him speak being during a flashback where it isn't really understandable.

Having around nine different weapons along with two small upgrade paths for each make makes sure to give you enough toys to play with. This is another game where the weapon makes the situation, along with your two types of grenades and your flamethrower to get armor. I forget who said it, but I read a review where they said the game was a "dance of blood and bullets" which is extremely accurate since once you figure out the game, you're almost unstoppable.

In the carousel above is a video of my gameplay practicing for my ultra-nightmare playthrough, where if you die once you have to start the game over again. I was one of the few people who was able to complete the game on ultra-nightmare so I get the shiny golden armor as a reward. I cannot state enough how much fun the gameplay is, which is why I keep coming back to it even now, after finishing it I think five of six times in the first week with my ultra-nightmare run being done the week after.
